Summary
Sub-lingual immunotherapy (SLIT) for the treatment of various allergies is well established as exemplified by Grastek® for the treatment of grass-pollen allergy using the ZYDIS® freeze dried orally disintegrating tablet (ODT) technology. The potential of ZYDIS® ODT for the sublingual delivery of prophylactic vaccine antigens such as influenza has now also been demonstrated.
