Each year Australian and New Zealand CRS Local Chapters hold an educational workshop focused on controlled delivery science. For example, in November 2017 a workshop was held at the University of Auckland's Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences (Grafton Campus). The two-day educational workshop focused on recent trends in in-vitro, ex-vivo and in-vivo models in bioactive delivery. The Keynote Speakers were Professor Kinam Park from Purdue University and Professor Ian Tucker from Otago University (both are past Central CRS presidents). There were 20 international and local invited speakers. The meeting was attended by experts from USA, Australia, Malaysia, China and New Zealand, 83 attendees representing 11 universities and 5 NZ pharmaceutical companies. There was a large number of student presenters which is especially important as it signifies the vital contributions of junior members who are on their way to becoming an essential component of our Society and the field.
