Assistant Professor
Antonio José Guillot is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Technology at the University of Valencia (Spain). He holds a BSc in Pharmacy (2016) and an MSc in Research and Rational Use of Medicines (2017). In 2022, he graduated and obtained a PhD in Biomedicine and Pharmacy from the University of Valencia. His research interests include the development of nanosized drug delivery systems for the treatment of cancer and inflammatory skin and intestinal diseases with an immune component. Moreover, his research also focuses on the pharmacokinetics and release mechanisms of drugs from different drug delivery platforms. He did a placement at De Montfort University (Leicester, UK) as a visiting researcher under the supervision of Prof. Sara Cordeiro in 2021 and a postdoc stage at the University Medical Center Groningen (The Netherlands) under the supervision of Prof. Hélder Santos. He highly values and enjoys the opportunity of joining international and multidisciplinary work teamsto share such different knowledge and perceptions to achieve synergistic and alternative therapeutic approaches. Outside the lab and scientific field, Toni is always willing to travel, meet new people and play chess, a hobby that he took up when he was 8 years old and is still practicing.
