Sachin Thakur is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the School Of Medicine at the University of Auckland, New Zealand. He concurrently holds an appointment as a Professional Teaching Fellow at the university’s School of Pharmacy. Sachin is a formulation scientist who has primarily specialised in the development of drug delivery systems for ocular administration. His research to-date has spanned many aspects of ophthalmic drug delivery, including the preparation of stimuli-responsive gels and nanocarriers and their evaluation in numerous in vitro and ex vivo models. Outside of work, Sachin is a member of several social sports leagues and also frequents board game and trivia nights. Sachin joined the CRS in 2014 and is continues to be involved in the New Zealand chapter of the society. He is a new addition to the committee and is enthusiastic about helping fellow young scientists achieve their career goals.
