Sara Cordeiro is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Queen's University Belfast (UK). She has a PharmD from the University of Porto (Portugal) and a PhD in Drug Research and Development from the University of Santiago de Compostela (Spain). Her PhD project focused on the design and development of polymer-based nanocarriers forvaccine delivery. Currently, Sara&s research is focused on the development and evaluation of microneedle arrays for drug and vaccine delivery. Sara is a communicative, social and passionate person, constantly dreaming, planning and working for her next personal or professional goal. She loves working with people andp articipating in projects that may change the world, even in the smallest of things,leading to her interest in joining the Young Scientist Committee of the CRS. In her free time, she loves travelling, learning, playing music and meeting people. Also, she is a member of the Scout Movement since 1999 and was a scout leader in Santiago de Compostela, working in the non-formal education of young kids from 8 to 18 years old, through outdoor activities, work in small teams and “education by action”.
