Heba is a passionate young scientist with a great ambition. Currently, she is a postdoc at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School, Harvard University. She is also a lecturer of Pharmaceutics in the Faculty of Pharmacy, Damanhour University, Egypt. She has a B. Pharm and M.Sc. in Pharmaceutical Sciences (Pharmaceutics) from the Faculty of Pharmacy, Alexandria University, Egypt. She holds a Ph.D. degree (November 2021) in Pharmaceutical Sciences (Pharmaceutics) (Joint scholarship between the School of Pharmacy, Queen’s University Belfast, UK and the Faculty of Pharmacy, Alexandria University, Egypt). The core of her Ph.D. project was improving the anticancer photodynamic efficacy using a combination of both nanocarriers and microneedles. Her research interests focus on development and characterization of microneedles and novel drug delivery systems, immunotherapy, photodynamic therapy, and applications of computational modeling in drug formulation and evaluation. She is always motivated for developing next generation drug delivery technologies.
